Training & Requirements

Professional real estate training is a vital function carried out by the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, the National Association of REALTORS® and Florida REALTORS®.

If you’re not a member, but you’d like to become one to take advantage of all the benefits of membership, you must first join our association. Membership in a local association automatically extends your membership to the state and national associations.

Online Training

We’re proud to partner with online education programs to provide training in the comfort of your home or office. Check out these online training options to complete your continuing education.

Licensing & Continuing Education

Not sure what’s required to maintain your license? We know it can be confusing to keep track of your membership and license requirements. This guide (link to internal Licensing & Continuing Education page, see below) will help answer your questions.

Code of Ethics Training

As a condition of membership, REALTOR® members are required by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to complete 3 hours of Code of Ethics training within two-year cycles. There are many options to complete (link to internal Code of Ethics Training page, see below) this requirement, including FREC’s new Ethics & Business Practices course.
